Truth is God – God is Truth – Truth and God is Lord Satya Narayan.

In the ancient days once Narad Muni while passing through the Sky observed the earthly sufferings of human beings and was deeply moved. He Once met Lord Vishnu and asked the reasons for the same and also its solution, to this Lord Vishnu explained, human sufferings are the results of the sins committed by the person or his family, either in present life or past – Lord Vishnu suggested to perform the pooja of Shree Satyanarayan Bhagwan i.e. Lord Vishnu as the solution. He emphasized to Pratise Truth, which leads to final salvation and one who commits sins suffers miseries Naradji requested Lord Vishnu to name such a person who pratised truth and attained salvation. Lord Vishnu said once a poor Brahmin Sadanand of Kashi through practiced truth suffered miseries due to sins committed by his family in the past life. Lord Vishnu suggested Sadanand to perform the pooja of Shree Satyanarayan Bhagwan which he did, and was blessed with happiness. A wood cutter who also practiced truth yet suffered, met Sadanand Brahmin, who suggested the Wood cutter to perform the pooja of Shree Satyanaryan Bhagwan. The Wood cutter did the pooja and is rewarded with the desire happiness.

The wood cutter came across a big business man – Seth Sadhuram who had a wife named Lilavati, she practiced truth, but was childless at the instance of the wood cutter Lilavati and Sadhuram pledged to perform the Pooja, if they were blessed with a child. Lord Vishnu showered his blessings on them Lilavati gave birth to a daughter named Kalavati, there after Seth Sadhuram neglected the pooja and went abroad for business. Kalavati grew to a marriageable age and was married to a young man named Sawant. The Pooja was ignored again by Seth Sadhuram and he went abroad with Sumant on business. Lord Vishnu was annoyed on Seth Sadhuram and his family for nonfullfilment of their pledge, he punished them Sadhuram and Sumant are sent to Jail – Lilavati and Kalavati’s Haweli collapsed they became beggers. Similarly a proud King Tungadhwaj ignored Prasad of the pooja performed by poor Gowalis his queen and princess were put to deathbed – the Royal Palace was set ablaze - Neighbourhood King attacked his Kingdom.
